The Way to True Happiness
Matthew 5:1-12

Why are maps important? - They show you the right way to your destination

How could a map help you find your destination? - Shows you the way, the highway numbers, the cities, and etc.

What does a map need to have to help you? - It needs to be accurate with correct road numbers, exits and etc.

Just as a map must include information about roads and cities, God's words the Bible has important information about he way to Heaven and how to live a happy life.

This week, Seth wants the New X-Box game and he feels without this game his life will be miserable.

Have you ever wanted something you felt you couldn't live without?

Seth's birthday is in one month. Missy tells him to ask for it then, but Seth can't wait. He needs it now!

Can things make you happy? -- Maybe for a little while, but eventually they get old and you want something else or they break.

If Seth never gets this game, do you think he will ever be happy again?

The world (those who are not saved) wants us to feel that things like fancy cars expensive toys, begin popular and etc will make you happy. They will NOT make you happy forever. They will eventually break or go away.

Is everybody happy? No! Why do you think people are not happy? -- by their own choice

We talked about earlier the Bible is like a road map. It tells you the way to be happy, but you have to choose if you want to follow it or if you go your own way.

What do you think is the right choice? God's way or your way? -- Of course, following God

God knows the way and the Bible shows us the way to happiness! But, you and I must choose to go God's way!!
